The Gallagher Live Fence Indicator is perfect to place along roadside fencing or other well traveled areas of your fence line to allow you the peace of mind of knowing that your electric fencing is active and at full power. The indicator will blink as long as your line has sufficient power.

A warning device that tells you in a flash your electric fence is live.

I don't rate this item 5 stars only because I have only been using it a few days and don't how durable it will be. First, I disagree with the review that "it saps energy". I have measured my fence voltage with and without the Live Light on my simple fence tester. Either way, with a good charger and ground system I am over 5000 Volts (max my tester will measure). Also, as an electrical engineer I don't see why an LED would pull that hard on a good charger that is well grounded. Functionally, the indicator is nice and bright so that it is visible from far away even in daylight. I love being able to just drive by in the barn yard and see that my fence is "hot". The Live Light seems well made and time will tell if it holds up to weather and constant pulsing with 5000 Volts.

We live on the edge of the woods and in the past we've had a real problem with critters consuming our backyard garden. Last year I finally wised up and installed a poly electric fence around the garden. Because it's around the garden and we get in and out of it a lot, it's really easy to forget to turn the fence back on. I've been looking for a light that I can see from the house so before we retire I can verify the fence is on. This is it. It has three bright LEDs behind a red clear plastic cover and it flashes every time the fence pulses. No batteries, and being LEDs they should last years. I find it easy to see the indicator -even during the day- from 75 feet away or so. This is exactly what I was looking for.

Have been looking for a indicator for some time now to verify the fence is on at a glance. This lite does exactly that, but very hard to see in daylight. Would like to see a battery or 110 volt light that is much brighter and tripped by the fence. Possibly a strobe light. This is the next best there is until one is on the market
